MY homies got TALENT.

I got the chance to snap a couple photos of my fam Zulema, Concha, Berto, and Dominique perform at their year end performance with their dance/ballet group IMBA. Was more difficult than I thought to get good shots because I was stuck in a corner basically with a lens I am not that familiar with but I made due with what I got I guess. Hope you like at least some of the shots, haha, I got more on my FB page, check em out.

FLYer than most.

This is another shot from the beach next to the UCSB campus, I really loved it there. I'm jealous of those students who get to study and do their homework there at the beach. I could only imagine what my style would be like if I studied graphic design/photography there.

Those birds were ridin deep!!! Every time I walked passed them, they would all fly away and then come back when I walked away. I think they wanted me to take their picture, haha.

LIFE should motivate me, not money.

 I forgot I had some photos saved on my camera and discovered this shot I took when on tour with my fam HERO'S LAST MISSION this passed November. This photo was taken at the beach next to the UCSB campus when we had some "downtime", which meant shooting because I love it, not for work. It gave me an opportunity to mess around with a fisheye adapter I got off PHOTOJOJO. The footprints are mine but I didn't intentionally have this shot envisioned in my head. I was just walking and talking to Mother Nature, telling her how much I admire her and stopped to look around at how blessed I am to be on a beach at that moment. I saw the way the sun was shining on me, the beach, the footprints, and the ocean, so I squatted down and took the shot.

This photo just reminded me of what I love about taking pictures and why I do it.............lately I've lost sight of that. I am ashamed that I have let MONEY get in the way of what I love to do and what I live to do. Only shooting when payment is involved is what I used to hate most about photographers, and now I have become them. I used to shoot just because I loved the results I got and the memories it captured. Being "broke" has shown me that the power of money is real and I have buckled underneath it's power. Recently, that same power has almost made me quit my passions so I could get a steady 9 to 5 job. Thankfully I have a little brother that believes in me and my talents and told me to never give up on it because I will not be truly happy doing anything else even if I am making good money. So I will stay strong and keep fighting the good creative fight. The bill collectors won't get to me just yet!! Hahaha.

NATE DIAZ, the next UFC lightweight champ!!!

I have always been a huge fan of the Diaz brothers, even more so when I lived in Stockton, so when Nick had his title shot with Condit, I designed a t-shirt. Now that Nate is up against Benson Henderson this Saturday for the UFC Lightweight Championship, I had to design him a shirt.
