Stacia and I work together at VANS and I bug her every time we work, "When you gonna model for me!? When you gonna take some shots with me?! And every week, I get the same answer. "NEXT WEEK we'll do it, after I get me hair done", she says. And every week I fall for it but last week was a different story. I asked Stacia what she was doing Friday, she said she wasn't doing anything. So I gave her an offer she couldn't refuse. I told her that if she shot with me Friday, I would buy her pizza and I told her I thought the location was definitely something she would like. I think the pizza was the tipping point because she couldn't of said YES any faster, haha.
Friday comes, and let me tell you, it was a glorious California day. No complaints from this guy ever, I am blessed to be here. Anyways, Jenni and I wait for Stacia to get to the house, so I pack my flash acc backpack, my tripod, and my light stand. I was going to wait until we were going to leave to put my CAMERA BAG in the car because I was charging my AA batteries and a camera battery. Stacia gets to the house, tries on the clothes I had bought(all too big except 1 shirt, haha), then we leave real fast because I wanted to catch sunset at the draw bridge by West Sac. We get to the spot by the bridge, the sunset is about to be fuckin PERFECT, I park super close to the spot I wanna shoot at. I get out the car to grab my camera bag..........NOT IN THE CAR. I FORGOT IT AT THE HOUSE. I feel like a complete IDIOT. And let me tell you something, doing something stupid in front of 2 females who give you SHIT, ALL DAY EVERYDAY, it was not good, haha. These 2 made me feel DUMB as hell, and I deserved every bit of it, haha.
Until next time. Here's the shots, check em out. SEE YA.

Barry Manilow be like, OH MANDY!!!!
When I moved into the bachelor house in Antelope, we started going to this bar in Old Town Roseville called The Union. There was never any good waitresses there except this BEAUTIFUL, SUPER NICE, female named Amanda aka Mandee. I've always thought she was crazy gorgeous and would make an awesome model. After trying to shoot with her for awhile now, we finally came together to hang out and take some shots a couple days ago. I always see this pedestrian over pass on the I-80 that I have always wanted to shoot on, so that was our first location. That is one of my favorite locations. The palm trees in the neighborhood, the cars zooming along the freeway around it, make it a fun place to shoot. This was only Mandee's 2nd time ever shooting, so she was crazy nervous. I tried my best to make her feel comfortable and make her laugh but I am just not funny....at all, I guess, haha. After that location, we headed off to Old Town Roseville where there is this cool old bridge. It was really crowded which I didn't like, so we only took a couple shots than called it a day. I can't wait to shoot with her again, she's even cooler than she is good looking. Here's some of the shots, check em out!!!

Maternity Shoot 1 of 3
Jenni and I have the luxury of having me as a photographer, so we can do as many maternity shoots we want and where ever we want. We had agreed on, that we don't want the cookie cutter type maternity type photos, it works out because Jenni likes my dark style of shooting, haha. So for our first one, we wanted to do one in water. We had planned on going up to this spot on the way to Tahoe by Pollock Pines. On the way there, we saw this spot with 2 rows of trees that looked mysterious, so we stopped. We got a couple really solid shots. While doing these, we also realized that we just want to go to Tahoe and do shots in the water over there, so we'll be going there in the next couple weeks, haha. Stay tuned!!

land down UNDERpass
Jennelle and myself have been trying to shoot with each other for awhile now. I'm so glad we finally did it. She is from Rocklin which is not far from me, so we chose to shoot in Roseville. Especially because there is this underpass that I drive through at least once a week and I always think how awesome of a location it is. This spot was everything it was cracked up to be. I will be back shooting this spot again for sure. I had forgot my tripod so I got a lot of shots out of focus but I'm happy we got a couple good shots out of it at least. So stoked on these!! Check em out!! Watch out for more shots from me and Jennelle.

3rd St with Xochi
Even after forgetting the clothes I wanted her(Xochi) to wear, getting Jenni mad at me(for my phone dying and getting her lost when she was bringing me the clothes we needed), the homie Xochi and I got some dope ass shots. We were able to hit 2 locations just in time before I had to go to work. I randomly drove by this little intersection off 3rd St in West Sac. There was a corner store, barber shop, bike shop, and clothing store lined up directly next to each other at this corner. A shady looking spot under a bridge nearby turned out to be one of other locations. Taking the shots in front of the market has been a shot I've been wanting to get for awhile. Glad I stumbled onto this spot last second and scored big time.
Xochi is one of the easiest models I've had the pleasure of working with. I'm lucky enough to be able to call her a friend. Every time we shoot together, it comes so natural with no effort from the both of us I feel. Can't wait for next time!!
