Salvador Mason Cid IV is here!!!! SCIV for short, haha.
His due date was May 30th, 2016 but he decided it was too nice and warm in there so he decided to stay a lil while longer. We went to the doctor 3 days later and he said we had at least another week before he would be entering this world. Well, turns out, the next morning at 5am, Jenni started having really bad contractions. So, I took the day off work and stayed home with her just in case something happened. At about 4pm, we decided to go to Jenni's moms house to be closer to the hospital because her contractions were getting stronger. On the way there, Jenni started having REALLY REALLY hard contractions. At that point, we decided to bypass Jenni's moms house and go straight to the hospital. We get to the hospital and Jenni is 5cm dilated already. We were shocked because the day before she was only 1-2cm. The nurse tells us she'll come back in about 30-40 minutes to check to see where Jenni is at and then the Dr will decide what to do from there. The nurse comes back and Jenni is already at 7cm!! So we all get rushed into the delivery room to get Jenni ready for delivery. Jenni is in EXTREME pain, I had never seen anyone in this much pain in my life. I was kind of freaking out because I had no clue how to help her. Seeing her in that much pain was most definitely not something I enjoyed. I had no way to help her or make her feel better. She made it all the way to 9cm before she couldn't take it anymore and got the epidural. It was a relief to see her relaxed and not in so much pain. Right after that, the doctor popped her bag and it was time to deliver. Since she got the drugs, she couldn't feel when she was getting contractions, so the nurses and doctors had to tell her when to push. The lil butthead kept popping in and out. By the 9th or 12th push(3rd or 4th contraction), the lil miracle known as Salvador Mason Cid IV finally popped out. He was born at 8:48pm on June 3rd, 2016. I couldn't of been more proud of Jenni, she is the mother of my child and I love her so much. She was amazing. She did the single most incredible thing that nature intended. Women are the strongest creatures on this earth. I am so happy to be a dad and start my new life on this journey of parenthood. Here's some shots I took at the hospital, check em out!!
