My brotha from anotha motha, Julian Mendoza, has started his own clothing line called BIG EGO CLOTHING. I have the pleasure of helping him out with some photography, designing, AND modeling(for some reason, haha). Being behind the camera is what I'm used to, so when he asked me to model the bad ass CALI OG CREWNECK SWEATSHIRT for his 2014 LookBook, I got super nervous. The one reason why I was excited and privileged to model is because BIG DUDES are never represented in a positive light, so I wanted to change that. Hopefully I represented well for the BIG DUDES!! WELCOME TO DETROIT.

I went home (Detroit) for a week in celebration of my 30th birthday. You never know how much you miss a place until you haven't been there awhile. I missed the feel, the look, the smell, and just the way my home city makes my heart feel. I'm happy I got to show my gf Jenni a little of why I love it so much. She was only able to visit for the weekend but it was a jam packed weekend of activities. Took her to a Tigers game, showed her around Southwest Detroit, a little of downtown Detroit like Greektown. I can't wait to go back in April for Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers. That city/state will always have my heart no matter where I am.

A couple months ago, my cousin G-Mo and my sister Moni came to visit me in Cali. It's one of the best feelings seeing your family that you haven't seen in about a year, pull up to your drive way. I took them to as many places as I could in the couple days that they were here. As bad luck may have it, my camera battery died and couldn't find my other one. So these are all the shots I have from our adventure. I miss them so much. Hope to see them in April!!!
